Kava Motel is a suburban hideaway and peaceful place to stay. There are six rooms in total – twins and doubles. There is a communal kitchen where you can cook for yourself, and shared bathroom facilities.
It is advisable to purchase supplies from the local supermarkets or fresh produce market in downtown Port Vila. Getting to Kava Motel from the airport is 15 minutes by bus or taxi, and Port Vila town is another five minutes away..

For the budget conscious traveller, MALAMPA Guest House, in the heart of Port Vila, it is one of the most convenient places to stay in town (next door to Vanuatu Financial Services Commission).
It offers basic twin; double and a treble room for families. The property is based on communal facilities so there is a shared kitchen, dining and lounge and a ‘ladies’ and a ‘mens’ bathroom. The open, outside laundry is adequate for hand-washing clothes. Each room has a 3 pin power socket which is handy for recharging the camera and laptop. This place is similar to a backpackers.

a bunk room that sleeps 5 and a treble room (11 rooms in total). The property has a communal kitchen/ dining; shared large lounge and bathroom facilities and an outside facility for hand-washing your clothes.
More suitable to the ‘backpacker’ traveller, however there is no power supply in the bedrooms so any recharging needs to be done in the lounge.

There is a swimming pool, tours and activities can be easily arranged from the front desk. A walk through the nearby Mele Village (Vanuatu’s largest) or ferry across to Hideaway Island Resort and Marine Sanctuary can be a rewarding experience! Worawia Holiday Haven is situated next to Mele Village and is only 15 minutes drive from the airport. Getting into Port Vila is very easy by public transport or self-drive.

This lovely bungalow faces the seaside and gets the soft sea breeze. The bungalow sleeps 3 people (1 x double; 1 x single) and has a spacious separate lounge/dining room. There are no cooking facilities so arrangements need to be made with your hostess for meals. The bungalow is situated on the edge of the village, but close to your host’s house (at this stage you need to share the toilet and shower facilities with your host family). There is no electricity, so it will pay to bring a torch or solar light for the night trips to the bathroom.
