Nerr Bungalows is located at Vureas Bay; the bay provides a good anchorage with calm water and a black sand beach. Some yachts visit, from June until October each year. At other times there will probably be no visitors. West Vanua Lava is mountainous and wet with plenty of rainforest and several rivers. The forest on the hills around Vureas Bay is good for bird watching. Nerr has three bungalows. Two are twins and the third is a double. The bungalows have Pandanus mats on sand floors, bamboo walls and Natangura palm thatch roofs. Mosquito nets are provided.
Leumerous Guesthouse, Sola, Vanua Lava

The bungalows at Leumerous Guesthouse have concrete or stone walls with bamboo on top and Natangura palm thatch roofs. The best bungalows have locking doors and mosquito nets. If there's no net you'll be given a mosquito coil. Of the five bungalows, two are singles, two are twins and one is a triple. A solar panel gathers power for lighting only. There is no inverter but you can get access to the public electricity supply —the property has five bungalows by the beach at Sola with modern amenities like electric lighting, flush toilets and showers. Leumerous is a sister bungalow to Harry Memorial Resort on Ra Island. Tours available and can be arranged. Robert is helpful in planning expeditions on Vanua Lava, organising transport and can take you on short guided walks.
Eliezer Travel Lodge, Sola, Vanua Lava

Eliezer Travel Lodge has one large bungalow with three rooms and two smaller bungalows. The large bungalow has one twin room and one triple room. The smaller bungalows are a twin and a triple. The bungalows are half concrete, half-bamboo with Natangura Palm thatch roofs and locking doors. The concrete floor seems to stop fire ants. Mosquito nets are available in some bungalows. There is electric lighting and some of the bungalows have solar lighting. Kerosene lamps are available. Eliezer Travel Lodge has a modern toilet and shower but the water pressure is usually not enough to take a shower (use buckets). Soap, towels and toilet paper are provided.
Tours can be arranged subject to the demand —Abraham is helpful in planning excursions and he has a speedboat.
Josedith Bungalow, Loh, Torres Islands

Josedith Bungalow is also known as Joseph's Bungalow, this place is near Lunghariki village on Loh Island. It has a nice beach out the front. The bungalow is basic and comfortable. It has two single beds inside with mosquito nets. Well water is used for bucket showers. There's a pit toilet
Kamilisa Memorial Resort, Torres Islands

Kamilisa has four bungalows with a total of six beds. Two bungalows are doubles and the other two each have a pair of single beds inside. There is one western style toilet with a water seal (bucket flush) and one haus blong swim (bucket showers). Well water is used for washing. Toilet paper is provided and a bath towel can be supplied (most people bring one). Kerosene lamps are used for lighting — Kamilisa Memorial is one of the only places in Vanuatu where you can eat fish, coconut crab and lobster for lunch and dinner every day. Meals are prepared in a simple local style with rice and aelan kaekae (yam, lap-lap, pumpkin with coconut cream, nalot breadfruit, cucumber salad, aelan kabis and fruits (paw-paw and watermelon).
Karen & Captain Ian's Bar and Bistro, Vanua Lava

Karen & Ian's bungalow is about 15 minutes drive from the airport. The best in town on the water. Captain Ian can help for yachties. The bungalow has a bar, restaurant, dining room, camp shower, bush toilet. Room rate includes breakfast plus all per day meals. All room have Mosquito net, Small gas cooker, kettle, tea and coffee facilities. Karen & Ian's bungalow has
1 x family bungalow with 1 double and 1 single. 1 x dormitory with 3 rooms (1 x double, 1 x single, 1 x 2 singles). Laundry services provided. Activities includes boat charter to twin waterfall, snorkel and fishing.
